Peetadhikaari, -Mallayyagiri and Degalmadi Ashram
In the land of Sufis and the saints, reverend Sri Dr. Basavalinga Avadhoota has sowed the seed of culture and nurtured it. Dr Basavalinga Avadhoota, who is anorator and a deity of worship for millions of disciples has travelled across India including Himalayas, Kashi and Srishila for rendering social service.
Being a homeopathy physician, he has cured diseases of many devotees who has bestowed their trust on him. He has illuminated the lives of many people. He has been teaching parents the way to raise the children. He has been persuading people regarding the importance of culture. Against the bad habits awareness has been spread by him among the youth. He has been advocating unity and fraternity. He has been nurturing patriotism and love for the nation. He has been incessantly toiling for social change.
Sri Prior to the Ashram
Dr Basavalinga Avadhoota was born on 26th June 1976 to a cultured Lingayat family undergone Deeksha. He was born in Rantnapur, a Village belonging Nyalkal tehsil limits, Jaheerabad Taluq, Sanga Reddy Distict of Telangana State. He was the third son of Rachappa Mulge-Bandemma couple. Prior to the Ashram his name was Basavaraj Mulge.
Education
He started his education from the Government Senior Primary School at his village. There he completed his education from the first to the seventh standard. He pursued his high school and pre university education from the N.F.H.S, a renowned educational institution of Bidar. He completed B.A from Kaviratna Kalidasa College. He completed lab technician course from Nittur of Balki Taluq. Subsequently he moved to Dharwadand there he completed his post-graduation- M.A in Kannada and Philosophy from Karnataka University with a gold medal. He appeared for prelims exam of the U.P.S.C at Delhi
Spiritual inclination
He had an inclination towards spirituality during his graduation days. Subsequent to the completion of his graduation he performed penance at the Himalayas. in the year 2006, he came and settled in Mallayyagiri, located between Kuppanagar and Chillapalli in Jharasangam mandal,Sangareddy district of Telangana State, post the observance of penance at Kashi, Srishila, Rishikesh, Badrinath and several other places.

Ashrams
He has Ashram at Degalmadi in Chincholi Taluq, Kalburgi district in addition to Mallayyagiri Ashram between Kuppanagar and Chillapalli, Jharasangam mandala, in Sangareddy District of Telangana State. Spiritual programmes are carried out on a continuously in all his Ashrams
Religious Service
Through his spiritual programmes he is guiding people in various places including Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra. He has delivers sermons across 2500 towns, cities and villages thus catered people with a tasty spiritual food for thought. He delivers sermons in a manner that the masses can understand, consequently people throng to his programmes. More than 10,000 devotees participating in the discourse program held at Mallayyagiri Ashram every full moon is a specialty. By organizing five to six yoga-meditation camps in a year, the devotees are taught about Yoga at the Ashram by him.
Literary Service
He is also involved in nurturing literature along with spiritual awareness. ‘Oldie Haadida Hridaya Geeta’, ‘Anubhavaamrutha’ (Telugu Song), ‘Satya Shudda’ (Modern Vachana creations) are his contribution to the literary world. His vachanas carried the notation’Ghana yogi Mallinatha’ at the end. Listening to the songs in his melodious voice brings immense joy to his devotees. The folk style songs embodies moral and human values, it touches the heart of the devotees
Knowledge of language
He has the prowess of delivering sermons fluently in languages like Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Marti and English. When he travels to any region, he delivers the sermons the language of that region.
Dasoha
In the Mallayyagiri Ashram, there regular and continuous arrangement for Dasoha. There is arrangement of sweets during festival and auspicious days.
Daily routine
Shri’s daily routine commences early in the morning. Waking up at 3:30 am, he finishes his daily chores. By 4 am he is engrossed in Pooja and meditation. 6:30 to 7:30 in the morning, he is occupied in reading newspaper, books and writing lyrics for new songs. From 7:30, he is available to offer darshan to his devotees. In the evening, he delivers sermons in the cities towns and villages. At night he returns to the Ashram and meditates for some time. At 11:30 in the night he goes to sleep.
Diets
In the morning he eats legumes along with one glass of fruit juice. In the night he consumes porridge of millets and fruits.
Awards and recognitions
The dignitaries of the matt, various associations and institutions have honored him with numerous awards and recognitions for his social and religious endeavors. The international Peace University of Germany has honored him by conferring him with an honorary doctorate at the world peace conference, held on 11th January 2020, at Ooty, South India
